Please allow enough time to park before your session.

To gain the full benefits of the hot-cold exposure we recommend the following:

  • 5 minutes changing
  • 10 minutes in the sauna
  • 5 minutes dipping in one of the pools, taking a cold shower at The Bathing Pools, or simply pouring a bucket of chilly seawater over yourself.
  • Repeat this three times

Please note all our sessions include time for changing. The small changing room may be used at the end of your session but please be aware of the next booking and make sure you vacate the changing area within your time slot.

Don't push yourself! Our customer briefing recommends sauna sessions under 20 minutes with breaks for cooling down. Newcomers should start with even shorter sessions (3-5 minutes) and take frequent breaks.

  • You're under no obligation to go in the sea. It's your time in the sauna, so enjoy it without any pressure. If you fancy a dip in the sea pools, feel free, but be mindful of the risks. Alternatively, you can opt for a refreshing cold shower at The Bathing Pools or pour a bucket of chilly sea water over yourself

  • Make sure to check the tides on our homepage link to see if the sea pools are accessible.

  • Swimwear: Arrive in comfortable swimwear without metal fastenings.
  • Footwear: Wear flip-flops, sliders, or sea shoes for easy movement to the sea or showers.
  • Jewellery: Avoid loose metal jewellery that could heat up and cause burns.
  • Hydration: Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
  • Towels: Pack two towels - one for sitting in the sauna and another for drying off.
  • Winter Gear (optional): Bring extra layers of loose clothing to change after your session during colder months.

Lockers are unavailable on site, but the changing area has hooks and a small, shelved area. Keep belongings to a minimum. Extra items will need to be left outside at your own risk.

There are toilets situated opposite the sauna above The Childrens Pool that are open to the public 24/7

There are also toilets in The Bathing Pools which are open during operating hours.

Saunas are a naturally clean environment; they operate at high temperatures of between 60 to 100 degrees centigrade which makes it too hot for germs to survive

We do have a cleaning protocol in place to ensure that the sauna is clean

We kindly ask all our guests to sit on towels during their session so that no sweat reaches the wooden benches.
